Engagement path
From first email to written next steps
This page maps how a Shoreline consultation actually runs — the documents we ask for, the meetings you attend, and what we will not do on your behalf.
- Enquiry. You describe the decision — retirement timing, a transfer pack, or owner-manager drawings. We confirm whether it fits UK financial advice work we can deliver.
- Document checklist. You return pension valuations, ISA statements, mortgage summaries, and any gift or will notes already on file. Incomplete packs simply extend the timeline.
- Discovery session. A 75-minute conversation clarifies aims, dependents, and hard constraints such as a house move or company cash buffer.
- Planning session. We test options against tax bands and access ages, then draft the written pack.
- Delivery and follow-up. You receive the plan, walk through it on a 45-minute call, and keep execution with your own providers unless you commission further work.
What stays outside the engagement
We do not trade investments for you, prepare company accounts, or broker mortgages. If a recommendation requires a regulated product you do not already hold, we explain the disclosure path before anything is instructed.
